An axial fan is a type of industrial and commercial fan in which air is drawn parallel to the axis around which the blades rotate. Rather than throwing air outward horizontally or centrifugally, the blades force the air to move directly along the shaft axis—creating high-volume, straight-through airflow at low to medium pressures.

Core Types of Axial Fans

Propeller Fans: Simple, open-frame design with blades attached to a motor shaft. Commonly used for general ventilation, wall exhaust, and room cooling where resistance to airflow is low.
Tube Axial Fans: Heavy-duty propeller fan enclosed inside a cylindrical duct or tube. Designed to overcome moderate pressure in ductwork, fume extraction systems, and HVAC ducts.
Vane Axial Fans: Equipped with static guide vanes placed downstream or upstream of the impeller. The vanes straighten helical air rotation, converting swirl energy into static pressure for long-distance ducting.
Variable Pitch Fans: Feature blades whose angle (pitch) can be adjusted manually or automatically to regulate airflow volume based on demand.
